Using the Principles of Design Thinking

Process

Empathise

Stage 1

The first step, after we received the brief from BZE, was to begin researching the company and all of its stakeholders, allowing us to get a grasp of our users' needs and develop a sense of empathy towards them.

Define

Stage 2

The next step was to define our users' problems and acknowledge their needs. This involved collating our data and observations in order to determine the specific needs of BZE and their stakeholders, then framing them in a succinct problem statement.

Prototypes

Low Fidelity

Our low-fidelity prototype was a simple, hand-sketched drawing on paper which illustrated the visual design of our creative concept, provided some sample text and outlined the user flow.

Medium Fidelity

We created a medium-fidelity prototype using Canva in order to digitise our illustrations and finalise the design of our assets. This stage of prototyping also involved selecting fonts and colours, as well as confirming all of the text and optimising the user flow.

High Fidelity

Using Spark AR, our high-fidelity prototype is programmed, rendered and published to Instagram under the name @futureproofaus. This allows anyone with an Instagram account to freely use our interactive filter.
