ABOUT

FUTUREPROOF is a team of four individuals who came together to produce a tangible response to a provocation from BZE. The provocation asked us to consider how we might illustrate simple and accessible pictures of the big ideas needed to help Australia transition to zero net emissions and 100% renewables. We were also encouraged to think about how we might engage with communities across Australia to help them feel inspired and educated about the many jobs and benefits resulting from a net zero future.

FUTUREPROOF Filter seeks to respond to this brief by targeting younger generations of Australians and mobilising them to join Australia's net zero future workforce. The filter is designed to appeal to social media users aged 12-25 who work or have a desire to work in trades and related fields. According to a 2022 study, Instagram is the platform of choice for Gen Z users, currently ranking as the most popular social media platform for 16 to 24-year-olds. As Instagram currently has over 1.4 billion users, there is potential for the project to have a significant reach and impact.
