WHAT IS IT

FUTUREPROOF Filter is an interactive Instagram filter which asks users a set of “Would You Rather” questions that relate to stereotypical Australian ‘Tradie culture’. The questions culminate in a link to Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE)'s Million Jobs Plan, engaging with Australia’s future workforce by encouraging them to "Futureproof Your Job with BZE."

HOW IT WORKS

Simply scan the QR code below with your mobile device, or search for "Tradie Trivia" by futureproofaus in the effect gallery on Instagram. Take the quiz by tilting your head side-to-side, selecting your preferred answer. After completing the quiz, share it with your friends and follow the link to BZE to read about the Million Jobs Plan!

THE GOAL

Since BZE aims to employ tens of thousands of skilled workers in the next 20 years through their renewable energy industrial precincts, it is vital for them to establish a connection with the future generations who will power Australia’s workforce.

FUTUREPROOF Filter aims to capture the sense of larrikinism and Australian pride that is usually connected to tradie culture, and ultimately establish a link between young, working Australians, and BZE. This will help fuel the advancement towards a net zero future by inspiring young and emerging workers to choose jobs in the renewable energy sector, while providing reassurance that they won't have to sacrifice the tradie culture they love.

WHY BZE

Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE), is an internationally recognised “think tank” which develops solutions for the ways in which Australia could thrive in a zero-emissions economy. They aim to motivate policymakers and political leaders with their research into a range of technological innovations, potentially providing significant economic benefit for a number of Australian communities and industries. Their Million Jobs Plan will create renewable energy industrial precincts, with an aim to support 45,000 jobs and contribute 13 billion dollars to the economy by 2032, through their first two locations in the Hunter Valley and Gladstone.
